Inops, also known as Bignus, is a genus of arachnids in the family Phalangiidae. The species of this genus are found mainly in the Northern Hemisphere and are also known for their distinctive coloration. They have eight legs and two claws which they use to move around and capture prey. Inops have small eyes and can range in size from 3 to 15 mm.

Inops are not considered aggressive but they can bite if provoked. Their bites can be painful but they are not typically dangerous. Some people report feeling a burning sensation after being bitten by an Inops. The venom produced by these spiders is believed to be weak and non-toxic to humans.

Inops feed primarily on insects and other small animals. Females will lay eggs in silk sacs which are attached to the substrate or vegetation. These sacs can contain up to 200 eggs. The females will guard the eggs until they hatch, usually within a few weeks. The newly hatched spiders look like miniature adults.

Inops are most active during the night but they can also be seen during the day time. They can be found under rocks, logs, and in leaf litter. They tend to hide during the day and come out at night to hunt.

Inops can be found in a variety of habitats including gardens, forests, grasslands, and deserts. They prefer humid, dark environments and can be found in areas with loose soil and vegetation.

Inops are not considered a major pest but they can be a nuisance when they enter homes. They are attracted to light and can get into houses through cracks and crevices. If you find an Inops in your home, you can remove it by using a vacuum cleaner or a piece of cardboard.

Inops, also known as Bignus, are interesting and unique arachnids that are worthy of appreciation. Although they can bite, their venom is not considered to be dangerous to humans. They prefer humid, dark environments and can be found in a variety of habitats. If you encounter an Inops, you can easily remove it without having to worry about its venom.
