The return of the popular PvP event, Trials of Osiris, in Destiny 2 has been met with much fanfare. However, some players have found themselves auto-banned from the game due to anti-cheat measures. So why did Destiny get banned? It seems that the main reason for this is due to the use of a Destiny 2 trainer.

A Destiny 2 trainer is a type of third-party software which allows a player to gain an unfair advantage in the game by changing certain attributes or otherwise manipulating the game. This includes things such as moving faster, having increased damage output, and more. Such trainers are strictly forbidden within Destiny 2, and any players caught using them will be subject to an automatic ban from the game.

To ensure fair play during the Trials of Osiris, Bungie has implemented an advanced anti-cheat system which can detect and auto-ban players who are using any type of outside assistance when playing. This includes not only the use of Destiny 2 trainers but also other types of cheating such as aimbots or wall hacks. Any players who are caught using these will immediately be issued with a Destiny 2 ban.

This measure is likely to prove controversial with some players, as it is seen by some as overly harsh. However, Bungie is determined to ensure that all players have an equal chance at success in the Trials of Osiris, and so have put in place what they believe to be necessary steps to achieve this.

Bungie have also stated that any players who are found to have been cheating will not be eligible for any refunds or rewards associated with the Trials of Osiris. This serves as a further deterrent for those tempted to cheat, as any rewards earned through cheating would ultimately be worthless.

It remains to be seen if the new anti-cheat measures will be effective at keeping cheaters out of the Trials of Osiris. For now, however, it seems that Bungie is serious about ensuring that everyone has a fair and fun experience when playing in the Trials of Osiris. Hopefully, this will mean that all players can enjoy the event without fear of being unfairly disadvantaged by cheaters.
